I am an undergraduate senior at the Rochester Institute of Technology. I study Imaging Science, which encompasses the theory and applications of mathematics and physics as it relates to cameras and imaging.  People in my program study a wide range of topics, including but certainly not limited to remote sensing, medical imaging and ultrasound, document recovery, visual perception... The list goes on.

My personal academic interest has been in digital image (and video) processing (DIP). Imaging Science does not focus on programming skills; most students take an introduction to programming in Matlab, followed by two quarters of DIP. However, I enjoy it, and have been trying to learn as much as I can in the field.

Recently, I've also been studying with the Motion Picture Science department at RIT, and have recently concluded an independent study through the program. There is a link on the Projects page to some of the resulting materials. I love the work I've been doing here. It's a great application of what I've been learning, and I can't wait to get my hands on more projects!

Finally, in my own free time, I've begun working with hardware and embedded systems. A few of these projects will make it up here soon.
